Welcome to this latest attempt to connect librarians from west-central Wisconsin with each other! Please send in content (booklists, ideas, photos, etc.), and comment on posts so we can help each other. If you were using feedmyinbox to get new posts sent to you before, you'll need to switch to another service (blogtrottr works like feedmyinbox, googlereader is a good blog-reader to try).

Readers Advisory Sites for Kids

RA wordle from https://ragenrestudy.wordpress.com/
In a recent discussion on an ALSC listserv, several people shared their favorite readers advisory websites for kids.  I thought I'd share them with you!

Several useful readers advisory resources put together by the DeSoto Parish Schools.
8 Readers' Advisory Sites post on the INALJ (formerly I Need a Library Job) blog.
Through Badgerlink, we have access to Novelist K-8 (along with Novelist for older readers)
A Book and a Hug is a website operated by a former children's librarian
ARBookfind is a resource created by the Accelerated Reader folks (Renaissance Learning) to help kids find books that will hopefully interest them,  that also fit the various AR criteria (reading level, age)
Bookopolis.com is a relatively new site, touted as a GoodReads for kids.
