Welcome!

Welcome to this latest attempt to connect librarians from west-central Wisconsin with each other! Please send in content (booklists, ideas, photos, etc.), and comment on posts so we can help each other. If you were using feedmyinbox to get new posts sent to you before, you'll need to switch to another service (blogtrottr works like feedmyinbox, googlereader is a good blog-reader to try).

Another Local Author!

Eau Claire school librarians are an amazing bunch.  Rebecca Hogue Wojahn, who has written several well-received nonfiction titles for kids, has a new novel, to be published next week!  Malcolm at Midnight looks like a great read for middle grades:

Malcolm, a smaller than average rat, loves life at McKenna School and the secret society of classroom pets that keep children out of trouble, but when Aggy the iguana disappears Malcolm must use all of his ratty persistence to prove his innocence and save her.

For more about the author and the story, see the interview by Rob Reid on his blog, The Heart of a Child.
