Welcome to this latest attempt to connect librarians from west-central Wisconsin with each other! Please send in content (booklists, ideas, photos, etc.), and comment on posts so we can help each other. If you were using feedmyinbox to get new posts sent to you before, you'll need to switch to another service (blogtrottr works like feedmyinbox, googlereader is a good blog-reader to try).

Spring Programming Splash!

Looks of wonder and delight at the parachute
The youth librarians had something for everyone during Eau Claire Schools' Spring Break week. A special beach party for the babies, a Fancy Nancy program, a program about fishing, a special cow-poke storytime, jewelry-making, and a Hunger Games event.

Not only did they have a host of cool events, they remembered to take photos, and then Jill figured out how to make a super-slick slide show of their events, complete with sassy captions. For the whole show, see here.

How do you share the happy buzz from your successful programs?

  1. I usually post a picture and a few words on facebook, then upload the rest of the pictures in slideshows on picasa which I can insert in our website and/or save for further publicity and remembering what we did down the road.

  2. Facebook plus website--I like the fact that it doubles as publicity plus a record for yourself!
